Altitude

I’ve discovered something new that affects my TBI! Altitude! My husband and I are staying with family in Colorado right now. It’s kind of a cousins’ reunion. So fun except for the effects of altitude on my brain. Now I know that altitude can and does affect normal or rather uninjured brains, but the effect on a TBI brain is definitely different. I find myself with a higher level of tinnitus, a sound like misfires inside my head, and a mouthful of marbles occasionally when I talk. Thankfully the family is aware of my condition and have been very kind really and accepting of my need to take “social interaction” breaks every once in a while. Hopefully things will improve as I spend more time here. The scenery is so beautiful that it is helpful I think in calming my mind.
